Quick Heal 2010 product version receives OESIS OK certification

    (February 08, 2010)

Quick Heal Technologies, a leading provider of Internet security solutions, receives OESIS OK certification for the 2010 version of its products. Certification in OPSWAT’s OESIS OK system attests to a product’s seamless interoperability with software solutions from market-leading vendors.

Quick Heal Internet Security 2010, Total Security 2010 and Antivirus attained OESIS OK certification in the Antivirus category. The application is tested on all supported operating systems to check if it gets installed without any errors. It is checked against lists of known rogue applications to check that it is not listed as “rogue” according to the OPSWAT internal database. Application installer and binaries are scanned against multiple anti-malware engines to check if any application file is reported as “suspicious”, “threat” or other nomenclature indicative of the submitted application being rogue.

OESIS Framework is a cross platform, open development framework which enables software engineers and technology vendors to develop products that detect, classify and manage thousands of third-party software applications. This certification program performs multi-stage verification that includes installation, update status, protection status and this guarantees that the end point protection installed in the network are fully functional and interoperable with any network device.
